“It’s three years now since I joined the Ady Watts family and honestly, I’ve never felt better, fitter or stronger. I’m a writer by trade and a typical day is spent slogging away at my laptop in solitary confinement, so I really value the three or four times a week I spend at the City Gym with the coaches and all the other lovely people who come to the same classes as me to train. It can be hell getting out of bed, especially on dark winter mornings, but I’m always, always glad I did, for the laughs, and the chat, and – of course – the intensely hard work! These classes give a shape to the week, and force me to show some discipline in what could otherwise be a life of writing novels in my pyjamas. As a result I’m a devoted convert to the Ady methods, especially the rolling programmes of classes, which mean that one week never feels exactly like the last, and the regular introduction of something completely new – hanging like a bat from an iron bar, for example!”
