Yep I admit I was sceptical when I joined back in September 2021, yet here I am ‘Member of the Week’.
When I was looking for a gym I wanted a place where they would be interested in why I needed them, what I wanted to achieve, help me along the way with what mattered to me and above all to care about the journey to get me there.
I was fed up, I was training 4-5 times a week and getting nowhere. Hit my mid-forties, peri-menopausal and lockdown had just kicked in. Previously I’d always found it easy to shed a few pounds each week but it just wasn’t happening.
Not one to quit, I persevered but still wasn’t achieving what I wanted, so I found Ady Watts and made the call. Andrea was really helpful and informative (we didn’t realise until the end of the call when I gave my surname that we went to school together!)
The whole team has been great, they make the training sessions fun and interesting even if they are hard work. I train three times a week at Team Training, Small Group Personal training and Cycling Improvement. There are organised events which include walks, meals, pub visits and workshops with expert advice. The app is so easy to book onto training sessions and events.
On my last monthly assessment with James we discussed my nemesis which is running! I wanted to conquer it and I am now in the process of doing the Couch to 5K and actually enjoying it! I feel fitter, stronger, have lost weight and have more energy, so if you are considering it then I’d say go for it!
